all i want for christmas is a green dinosaur of wonder and delight.

and a trip to amsterdam.

i kind of want to go to bitchin' party, but just because it's near seattle and maybe erica and some other folks are going. but not because i really know anyone there or am deeply engaged in fandom in any way. hrm.

hopefully i will not be in the country in march, anyway.

so, there was that thing with the mayor of san diego first being all anti-queer-marriage and then coming out as being ok with it and his daughter blah blah blah, yeah?

and i thought that the latter was after the city council, or whoever, had passed the gay marriage... show of support thing. and i got mad - like, he needed that safety to make it work, and it was all just a publicity thing.

it turned out that that wasn't the case, which is nice.

but i feel this way about dumblydore, for some reason. because the series is over? because she didn't offer dumbledore any sexuality at all in the books? because he's the safest option for this?

so this is the second fanfic that i've ever written, the first in five or so years.

at some point when the alien alters femmeslash cliche challenge happened, i decided that summer camp was on the list. and so i decided to write a fic that i never actually got around to.

and then today (togay, according to my fingers, but they were just "ginfers," so don't trust them), pearl_o, fox1013 and etben have decided that it is summer camp AU time (here, here and here, respectively).

and i was thinking that mine wasn't so much AU, but (SHIT, GUYS, BUFFY SPOILER:) tara's alive in this story, so i guess it's AU anyhow.

so, here we go.
